Find out how to protect your vehicle from criminals at our prevention events

Advice on how to keep your vehicle safe from criminals is on offer at a series of prevention sessions being held in North Worcestershire over the next two weekends.

Officers from our Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNTs) and Proactive CID teams will be on hand to speak to members of the public to help them protect their cars from car key burglaries and keyless thefts.

There will be giveaways including vehicle scrapers, information on the Smartwater property marking system, plus there will be the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win steering locks, ring doorbells and key tags by signing up to our Neighbourhood Matters website.

You can visit officers and get advice following locations and dates: -

Saturday 9 December from 11am to 3pm

  • Sainsbury’s car park, Abbey Trading Centre, Alvechurch Highway, Redditch B97 6RF
  • Sainsbury’s car park, Carpet Trades Way, Kidderminster DY11 6XP

  • Bromsgrove Retail Park (near Home Bargains), 54 Birmingham Rd, Bromsgrove B61 0DD

“We are going out to these locations as they are hopefully convenient for people to in response to the community’s concerns over burglary, to engage with the public and offer reassurance.”
