Positive stop search - Evesham Town Centre

Good Evening Resident

At 17:45 hours on Tuesday 5th December 2023 PC 21072 JOHNS and PCSO 40405 HARRIS were out conducting foot patrol in the Riverside Shopping Centre. This is after an increased number of calls regarding drug use and Anti-social behaviour. During the patrol they came across a male who tried to evade officers before being stopped and then searched for drugs. The search itself was positive for drugs and the investigation will follow up.

Drug dealing and Anti-social behaviour are two of the town council's main priorities and we will continue to try and disrupt the problems.

You can help us deal with drug crime and the associated anti-social behavior that goes with it. The public are our eyes and ears, and no one knows better than the residents what is going on in a neighbourhood or community.

If you suspect someone is dealing drugs or involved in drug crime, you can pass on information via the ‘Tell Us About’ section of our website: www.westmercia.police.uk or you can phone 101. Always dial 999 if you or your property is at risk or a crime is in progress.

If you aren’t comfortable contacting us directly, you can pass on information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or by visiting their website: www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
