Street Watch Walk

Yesterday Community Safety Engagement officer PC Hughes met up with our Community Street Watch Volunteer and conducted a patrol around Oakengates.

We are currently looking for people over 18, from all backgrounds to join us as Street Watch Volunteers. This will give you the opportunity to help keep your local area safe, by walking around your neighbourhood and working with your local policing team to report any crime or anti-social behaviour that you may see.

As a Street Watch member, you'll patrol your local area alongside one of your neighbours for at least two hours every month, at times which suit you.

You'll talk to people you meet and encourage them to take an active interest in keeping your area safe. So your neighbours know what you're there for, you wear a high-visibility Street Watch jacket.

You'll be supported by:

  • the local Street Watch coordinator
  • your local police
  • Become part of Street Watch

Register an interest in Street Watch using our online form.
