School parking concerns - Webheath area |

Dear resident,
We continue to receive reports of inconsiderate parking around the two schools on Downsell Road, Webheath and roads off. Inconsiderate or illegal parking can put pedestrians and other road users in danger. It can also create an obstruction for emergency vehicles. While some enforcement activity is carried out jointly with partners, (relevant local authority) employ parking enforcement officers to assist with these issues. But often problems can be resolved through raising awareness of the impact or consequences or other practical measures. The Safer neighbourhood policing team (SNT) will be increasing: Safety tips for parking outside schoolsWe appreciate that there is limited perfect parking spaces around the area but if you pick up or drop off children you should do the following: Allow yourself plenty of time as the area is likely to be busy. Do not park on yellow zigzag lines and avoid parking opposite them where possible Do not block driveways or junctions If you live in walking distance from the school please consider if you need to use a vehicle at all.
