Good afternoon,

If you live in or around Shrewsbury or thinking of visiting in the next few days, we would like to inform you of the following distruption. 

Shropshire Council will be carrying out highways work from Wednesday 22 May to Friday 24 May 2024.  One lane will be closed along Castle Foregate on the approach to, and outside, Shrewsbury Railway Station. 

It's while trial holes are drilled to identify the depth and location of utility services - ahead of the planned station gyratory improvements.

Access to the station will be maintained and the temporary traffic management measures will be removed by the end of Friday in readiness for the Bank Holiday.
