Dear residents,

It has come to local police attention that there has been a number of attempted thefts from motor vehicles in the last 6-8 weeks, in and around the areas of Batchley and Brockhill. Attempts appear to have predominantly taken place in the early hours of the morning (12:00am to 2:00am). Suspect is described as: WHITE SURGICAL MASK, GREY JOGGING BOTTOMS, BLACK HOODIE, HEAD COVERED, WHITE MALE

Can I remind residents to please ensure that vehicles are always locked (as there have been incidents where they were not), to remove all belongings from the vehicle and if possible that vehicles are left in a well lit and/or visible position to help deter further incidents.
