Officers from Evesham’s Town Centre Team have been visiting licensed premises this afternoon (Friday 25 October) to hand out personal safety alarms. The visits, which included Marilyn’s nightclub and several pubs, saw police distribute the alarms as part of our regular efforts to provide safety reassurance to revellers and deter predatory behaviour. Police Sergeant Duncan Eades, of the Evesham Town Centre Team, said: “Officers have visited licensed premises today to supply them with personal safety alarms which they can hand out to anyone who wants one. “This was one our regular visits to the town’s nightspots as part of our continued efforts to make sure everyone feels safe on an evening out in Evesham.” We always encourage anyone to report safety concerns in public places to us and our StreetSafe campaign offers a web link for members of the public to do so anonymously if they wish to.
