PCC calls for certainty on government funding to protect local policing

Focused on ensuring West Mercia Police has the resources it needs to address your priorities, PCC John Campion is calling on the government to clearly outline its plans to protect local policing.

In an open letter to the policing minister, Dame Diana Johnson MP, the PCC has said the changes announced to employers’ National Insurance contributions would lead to the force paying an additional £4.3m.

Alongside clarity on other funding challenges, the PCC wants to ensure crime continues to fall in your community.
