OP Sceptre

Officers from the Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Team and Evesham Town Centre Team have been out this week in relation to Op Sceptre. PC Lane, PC Prentice and PCSO Steele have been out this week visiting their local Middle and High Schools as part of Op Sceptre week providing leaflets for the students regarding knife crime and advice on what to do if you suspect someone to be carrying a knife.

Earlier in the week Evesham Town Centre Team attended a number of shops on Port Street and offered advice around knife crime and the sale of weapons. The SNT and TCT team along with Trading Standards also attended various shops in the week where an axe was located behind the till.

Op Sceptre aims to help tackle knife crime across the country and locally here in the West Mercia force area. Thankfully knife crime is low in the area, however it’s still important to educate and inform about the danger it poses.
