Drugs Warrant in Pickersleigh

Yesterday Malvern Safer Neighbourhood team, with the assistance of task force, the Neighbourhood Crime Fighting team and a dog unit, carried out a drugs warrant at an address in the Pickersleigh area of Malvern.

The residential address was on Sherrards Green Road. Officers entered the address and found a 21 year old Malvern man and a 22 year old man from Merseyside in the address.

Police search dog ‘Waffle’ conducted a thorough search of the address and identified a couple of locations where drugs believed to be crack cocaine were hidden. Some great work by Waffle who along with his handler were carrying out their last ever search before they both retire in a few days.

As well as the suspected class ‘A’ drugs, class ‘B’ and ‘C’ drugs were also located in the address along with large amounts of suspected stolen meat, Cheese and Ice cream and a number of prohibited weapons. Both men were arrested for possession with intent to supply class ‘A’ drugs and several other offences. The men were both interviewed last night. They have been bailed while Police continue their inquiries.

We would like to thank residents in the Pickersleigh area for the intelligence received from them, which assisted in the warrant being granted by the courts. If you have any information that you would like to report to the Police then you can go to the West Mercia Police website, to report it via our online portal, call us on 101 (if it’s not an emergency) or you can report it anonymously via crime stoppers: https://crimestoppers-uk.org or 0800 555 111.

PCSO’s Rebecca Bullock and Kevin Tudge have also been developing and gathering the intelligence.

This was a great result which goes some way to tackling the drug problem in the area. We aim to disrupt drug dealing in Malvern and make it as hard as possible for dealers and drug lines to operate in our area.
