Police are aware of an incident on the evening of Wednesday, 20th November 2024 whereby a female used a counterfeit £20 banknote to purchase an item. This occurred on Port Street in Evesham Town Centre. The incident is being investigated to try and identify the person responsible. This is a reminder to all shops and businesses to be mindful of counterfeit banknotes when someone is paying in cash. Ultimately, if you are not sure; do not accept the cash.
