Dear Resident, We have received numerous reports over the last couple of weeks of a group of youths causing anti-social behaviour in the Southgate, Stonedale and Sunnymead areas of Sutton Hill. These have included youths kicking the doors of residential properties, throwing stones at windows and congregating in the communal areas of flat blocks. Anti-social behaviour (ASB) is anything which causes harassment, alarm or distress. It can take many forms and there are a number of ways we can work together to try and deter and put a stop to the behaviour. Tips for dealing with ASB; - Gather evidence, CCTV is a great way to identify offenders. If this isn't available then a description of the offenders and a direction of travel will be helpful. - Discuss issues with your neighbours, community, friends and family. Keep a diary of when the incidents occur, with as much detail as possible. This will help us to identify trends in the behaviour and help us to target our future patrols. -Don't chase or engage with the perpetrators. This makes it a game for them and they will often keep coming back if they find it fun. Reporting ASB; When reporting ASB it is useful if you can provide as much detail as possible. This will help us decide the most suitable and proportionate action to deal with your case. Detail should include; location, time, description of the offenders, direction of travel and if this has happened before. You can report ASB online at Report antisocial behaviour | West Mercia Police For crimes in progress and in an emergency please call 999. Kind Regards, Cuckoo Oak and Ironbridge SNT. | ||||
