The season of goodwill wrapped up as police support charity appeal

Officers and staff from West Mercia have been busy giving the gift of Christmas to children who might not otherwise get a present this year.

It’s been the season of goodwill at stations and offices as police donated presents in support of the Cash for Kids Mission Christmas Toy Appeal 2024.

More than 700 gifts for children of all ages, including toys, cars, puzzles, board games, stationery and books, collected across the county’s offices were handed to staff at B&M stores yesterday (Tuesday 17 December).

Officers and staff also donated more than £120 to go towards buying further presents for children who will benefit from the charitable mission.

Detective Inspector Marie Green from Worcester Police said: “Big thanks to all those officers and staff who so kindly donated to the Mission Christmas Cash for Kids radio appeal this year.

“We were happy to hand over so many presents for children who might not otherwise get a present this year after an appeal in the force for people to any unused new gifts which would be suitable for a child who is in need.”
