A bit of a snapshot for this week from your Evesham Rural and Town South team…
The Town South team conducted high visibility patrols around Sinclair and Four Pools Retail Park to combat retail crime. Shop staff were spoken too, advice was provided as well as posters to display in store. Crime Prevention advice was also provided to the public who took time out of their day to come and speak with the officers.
Various drops in were held across the Evesham Rural patch. These are 1 hour sessions where it gives the local community a chance to meet their local officers and to discuss any concerns. Across the rural area, we feel this works, but we are always open to new ideas, so please let us know if you have any other suggestions. It is clear from a recent drop in that people had some concerns and we will do our best to address these. We would also urge people to report suspicious circumstances or offences, we struggle to investigate incidents if they are not reported to us in the first instance. If it’s not an offence but more intelligence you wish to pass on, again, please make sure you contact us. If you see it, tell us! 999, 101 or online.
Bredon Hill Academy had another drop in with us, again, extremely well attended and lots of interesting questions asked. It was evident that the children really listened to our advice during the first session as lots of the children were able to answer some of the questions themselves! Clearly lots of children have told us they are interested in a career in policing so we hope we did our best to inspire them! These drop ins will continue in the New Year across the 2 Middle Schools in our area and we look forward to their questions! | ||||
