tractors and run away cars

Malvern Safer neighbourhood officers went to Malvern retail park this morning to engage with Farmers who were conducting a peaceful protest through all the car parks in the retail park and then around Malvern. We are please to report that it was a very well received protest from onlookers who waved and beeped horns in support of their cause.

The tractors had started their protest in Worcester City Centre before coming to Malvern. Other farmers headed to different parts of South Worcestershire where they received similar support from the public.

On their way back to the station, officers dealt with this car that had been parked on a slope and ended up rolling down the road, through a cross road and hitting two walls before finally coming to a stop 100 yards from it's parked position. Luckily no one was hurt. We would recomend that drivers consider putting manual cars in gear when parking on a hill to prevent this happening if a handbreak fails on a vehicle.
