Dear Resident, 

Speeding has been identified as a Parish Priority, and our Safer Neighbourhood Team would like to share our ongoing efforts to promote safer roads. 

A Speed Survey conducted this week on Whitchurch Drive, Dothill found an average speed within the 30mph limit, however 7 vehicles out of 100 were seen to be driving in excess of 35mph. In the case of speeding, all drivers were notified of their speed and educated on the limit and our speed operation. 

Speed Surveys help us better understand, identify and monitor speeding concerns in our community. We have to be visible for our safety, and our high visibility presence slows drivers down, makes more people aware of police activity and reassures nearby members of the public. 

We continue to carry out speed operations in the area where we may survey, educate or enforce road traffic laws.
