We are asking residents to be vigilant following the attempted theft of a Motor vehicle on Callow Hill, Alvechurch, at 2.11am on Thursday 23rd January.
Two males in dark coloured hoodies were caught on camera with what appeared to to be some remote aerial device by the vehicle, on the drive of the house. They were scared off when the dog in the house started barking. They made off in the direction of Tanyard Lane. We are asking residents to ensure that their vehicles are secure, and that any remote keys, are stored safely in an immobiliser pouch type device We are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information relating to this incident or that may have been in the area at the time or heard or saw anything suspicious. There are some simple but effective things you can do to help protect your property - where possible remove all valuable items from your vehicle before leaving it unattended. For more information on safeguarding your property you can visit the force website www.westmercia.police.uk We are also encouraging the community to call us on 101 if they see anyone acting suspiciously around a vehicle.
