Drugs warrant executed at address in Redditch


A warrant was executed at an address in Redditch today (Thursday 30 January) as part of a wider investigation into suspected drugs supply into the town.

Detectives from north Worcestershire, supported by Task Force officers, gained entry to a property on Batchley Road and detained two women while they conducted a search.

Inside the premises, mobile phones suspected to be linked to class A drug dealing, together with a quantity of class B drugs, were seized as part of ongoing enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Kirsty Hill, of North Worcestershire Proactive CID, said: “Today, acting on intelligence work and community concerns, we executed a warrant at an address in Batchley, Redditch suspected to be linked to drug dealing.

“Two women were detained while we carried out a search of the property where mobile phones, and a quantity of class B drugs were seized as part of our ongoing investigations into to class A drugs supply into Redditch.

“While no arrests were made today, we are confident that further evidence has been obtained relating to our enquiries into these activities and disrupted a suspected drug dealing network.

“The public are our eyes and ears on the ground an we would encourage anyone who suspects there may be drug dealing in their neighbourhood to report it to us via our website at West Mercia | Report A Crime. Always call 999 in an emergency.”
