Dear Resident,

Dementia UK, in partnership with Nationwide, is offering free dementia clinics in your local branch. To attend the clinic, you don’t need to be a Nationwide customer; it is completely free and everyone is welcome. There is no criteria you need to meet in order to attend the clinic. 

You can book a face to face appointment with a specialist dementia nurse, known as an Admiral Nurse, for support with any aspect of dementia. All appointments are confidential, those can be booked using the website dementiauk.org/nationwide

Admiral Nurses can be found on their national Dementia Helpline which is free to call on 0800 888 6678. The helpline is open Monday to Friday between 9am and 9pm, Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 5pm, and on all bank holidays except 25th December. 

They also offer virtual clinics with an Admiral nurse by phone or via Zoom, appointments last 45 minutes and can be booked at dementia.org/closer-to-home

Admiral nurses are all qualified nurses with a professional specialism in dementia. Their extensive clinical knowledge and experience means they can support people with dementia and their families through the most complex of situations.
