Pinvin Community Event
On Tuesday 11th February PC Roissetter, PCSO Doughty and PCSO Stirling visited Pinvin Community Hall to give a talk around fraud protection following an incident which occurred in the local area. We talked about different types of fraud, how to spot fraud, warning signs of fraudsters and how to safeguard yourselves against action fraud. We also provided leaflets and advice on other types on crime prevention.
We also discussed other local issues which included vehicles speeding through the village, parking on pavements, especially at school drop off and pick up times, dogs damaging local park equipment, poor lighting on roads near schools during the winter and animals loose on the road all of which will continue to be areas of focus when we complete patrols in the future.
Around thirty people were there for the talk and it was really positive to see such a large turnout. It was great to hear first hand from the community what are their priorities and how they feel we can help them feel safer. Remember it only by the police and public working together that we can prevent and detect crime.
Kind regards, PCSO Stirling. | ||||
