Three men were arrested after their vehicle was stung by police following a car being stolen in Evesham at the weekend. Officers from Operation Policing Unit (OPU) tracked a Kia Sportage on cloned plates that was in close convoy with a Ford Ranger that had been taken from a car garage in the early hours of Saturday (15 February). The Kia linked to the car theft was spotted around 8.40pm that night and was successfully stung on Pershore Lane off the M5, junction 6. Unfortunately, the Ford Ranger has not yet been recovered. Three men – aged 21, 32 and 33 - were arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and the driver was further arrested on suspicion of drug driving. All three have now been bailed with conditions pending further enquiries. | ||||
