Op Aurora

Dear all,

Members of your safer neighbourhood team have been out today conducting a speed enforcement operation on Ludlow road in Little Stretton (despite the poor weather!). This is following complaints and concerns from members of the local community.

There were many vehicles seen on that section of road whilst there, I am happy to say most were well within the posted speed limit of 30mph. However at least one vehicle will be having enforcement action taken against them due to the speed they were seen travelling.

The average speed recorded whilst we were out was: 27mph
The highest recorded speed was: 37mph

With the above example of poor driving, I would like to remind road users that speeding is one of the four main reasons attributed to collisions that result in serious injury and loss of life.

Drivers can receive a minimum fine of £100 and 3 points on their license if they are prosecuted for the offence of speeding.
