Dear Powick residents, 

The Parish Council have recently brought to our attention that there appears to be an issue with motorists frequently running the red lights on the main cross roads. This brings with it clear safety concerns. 

On the 26th the Kempsey & Alfrick local policing team ran an operation to monitor this. In the time that we were there for, we witnessed no persons contravening the red lights. The operation was partly covert so drivers would not have seen Police prior to going through the lights. We will repeat this on a few more occasions at different times of day.
