Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Team received multiple letters of concern from children at St Lukes C Of E First School regarding parking issues outside their school. The children describe the parking outside the school as “NOT safe, putting people in danger and dangerous for pupils and parents.” Since receiving these letters Redditch Safer Neighbourhood Teams have increased patrols around the area during drop off and pick up times, have done joint patrol with Redditch Civil Enforcement and have also done a talk with students at the school about road safety and correct ways to cross the roads. 

Parking restrictions outside schools are there to keep you and your children safe. Parking inconsiderately can put people in danger and you also risk being fined. It’s important that motorists follow the Highway Code and consider safety when driving and parking.
