Dear Resident, The North Worcestershire rural crime prevention officer has today attended the “Stone Sale”, which many of you will know is an agricultural plant and machinery sale in Kidderminster. Officers examined goods offered for sale and checked them using various methods using available data to ensure stolen equipment had not reached the sale. We are always welcomed by auctioneers, Halls GB who kindly give us permission to attend their sale.
It would be sensible of me to remind you about ensuring your equipment is protected the best it can be. Mark it, make it yours. Use a forensic marking system or sign write you company name on it, to help us identify it in the event it is stolen. Consider a tracker for larger equipment or the CESAR scheme CESAR - The Construction and Agricultural Equipment Security and Registration Scheme
Equipment can also be registered and checked with TER – The Equipment Register always worth checking something before you buy it! As always, further crime prevention advice can be found at Secured by Design - Crime Prevention & Security Advice
Thanks for your time,
