Today Market Drayton Safer Neighbourhood Team have been supporting colleagues from Wem and Whitchurch Safer Neighbourhood Team, Team A response and members of the road policing teams at the scene of a road traffic collision on the A49. 

A motorcyclist was airlifted by the Midlands Air Ambulance to the Royal Stoke Hospital and enquiries are on going. 

The road was closed in both directions for a short time whilst medical staff from the West Midlands Ambulance Service attended to the patient.
