Your Safer Neighbourhood Teams of Church Stretton & Craven Arms and Bishops Castle conducted a joint operation today, carrying out high visibility speed monitoring and enforcement checks in a number of South Shropshire villages.

Approximately 30 minutes of enforcement was carried out in each of the following villages:

Clungunford, Lydbury North, Clunton, Craven Arms, Culmington, Hope Bowdler, Wall Under Heywood, Diddlebury and Church Stretton.

A total of 285 vehicles were checked and a number of drivers will be receiving tickets in the post.

However, we’re pleased to report that the majority of vehicles were being driven responsibly, with the average recorded speeds of all areas being comfortably below the limit.
