Speed Enforcement / Prevention Activity

PC Hogg of Oswestry Rural North and PCSO Iremonger of Oswestry Central Safer Neighbourhood Teams were out this afternoon conducting Speed Enforcement at two locations across their areas.

Upper Brook Street near to Broomhall Lane, Oswestry was visited with 30 vehicles observed over a 20-minute period with none of them travelling above the 30mph speed limit.

Station Road near to Castlefields, Whittington was also visited with a total of 50 vehicles observed over a 20-minute period. 5 vehicles were recorded over the 30mph limit but none breaching our speed enforcement level, meaning they were slightly over the limit and required no further action.

Our Safer Neighbourhood Teams are committed to reducing risk on our roads and will continue to complete speed surveys and enforcement across the area, with it not only being a Force Priority but a Priority for the majority of Parish Councils across the Oswestry and surrounding areas.
