On Wednesday 30th April, officers from Ketley and Oakengates Team joined forces with other Safer Neighbourhood Teams, roads policing team, Telford and Wrekin Council Licensing compliance officers and Telford and Wrekin Road Safety Team, to conduct a joint traffic operation in Wellington.
during the operation 27 Traffic Offence Reports were completed and 4 vehicles were siezed and recovered for;
* No Seatbelt. *Contravene a bus lane. *Driving other than in accordance with a driving license. *Excessively tinted glass and glass not as prescribed for lights on a vehicle. *PG9 prohibition offence. *Use of motor vehicle with no insurance. *Two vehicles failed to stop for a PCSO. *Use of mobile phone while driving.
Advice was also provided in relation to OP CORAL - which relates to child car seat safety. Multiple taxi's were also checked by Senior Compliance Officers and dealt with for traffic offences such as tyres being less than 1.6mm tread depth.
