During Saturday 17th May the three Safer Neighbourhood Teams based out of Bridgnorth Station conducted patrols for Operation Whitebeam (rural crime) and Operation Ankara (Anti-social driving). Officers stopped and spoke to members of the public who provided information regarding drugs and motoring offences. Patrols were conducted throughout Much Wenlock, Bourton, Shipton, Broseley, Highley, Ditton Priors and Bridgnorth targeting areas previously associated with ASB. Several vehicles were checked, some stopped, and words of advice given. During the patrol of Broseley, the interception of a prolific shoplifter prevented further offences and foot patrols conducted through Much Wenlock were completed following recent concerns of criminal damage caused by youths lighting fires in woodland. Thank you for your help. It is only by the police and the public working together that we can prevent and detect crime.
