Road Safety and Parking Outside Morda Primary School

Road Safety and Parking Outside Morda Primary School

I have been conducting patrols outside Morda Primary School during drop-off and pick-up times. These patrols are aimed at supporting road safety, ensuring responsible parking, and protecting the wellbeing of pupils, parents, and staff.

During the visits, I have engaged with parents and carers to offer friendly reminders about the importance of parking considerately and driving safely around the school premises. Blocking pavements, parking too close to junctions, or stopping in undesignated areas can pose significant risks, particularly to young children crossing the road.

I have been pleased to see that the majority of drivers are acting responsibly, and I thank them for their cooperation. However, some parents were spoken to, guidance given where necessary to help maintain a safer environment for everyone.

Ensuring the safety of our school community is a shared responsibility, and I appreciate the continued support from Morda Primary School, residents, and parents in making this a priority.
