PCC raises concerns over reform to West Mercia's ICBs

Concern over reform of West Mercia's Integrated Care Boards

The Government is pushing through reforms to the two Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) in West Mercia, by merging them with the West Midlands.

Currently, one board covers Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and the other, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin - aligning with West Mercia Police's boundaries.

However, changes will see Warwickshire and Coventry join Herefordshire & Worcestershire. And Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, merge with Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.

ICBs play a vital role in ensuring the health needs of local communities are met alongside organisations including West Mercia Police.

Fearing the harm this move will have on the most vulnerable in our communities, PCC John Campion has written to all 13 local MPs calling on them to voice concerns in Parliament.
