With many of us planning summer getaways, it’s a great time to help each other keep our homes secure. Here are a few simple tips to consider before you go:

 

  • Ask a trusted neighbour to keep an eye out and collect your post so it doesn't pile up.
  • Use timer switches for lights to give your home a lived-in look in the evenings.
  • Avoid advertising your holiday dates too publicly—save the beach pics for after you’re back!
  • Lock up sheds and garden tools securely—they can be tempting targets.
