Safer Neighbourhood Team on foot patrol and available to chat about your concerns |
||
This week West Mercia Police are raising awareness of the role of the Neighbourhood Policing. On the morning of Tuesday the 24th of June, PC Emma Strangwood and PCSO Malcolm Goddard conducted foot patrol in Broseley and then were available at Mikey's Kitchen in the High Street. Several residents came and chatted, raising a number of concerns. These included the riding of illegal motorcycles, criminal damage and general anti-social behaviour in the town. Following this they then attended the Birchmeadow playing field to speak to the workmen currently assembling the new play area. This follows reports of children and adults ignoring the fencing and safety messages to try and get onto the new equipment before it is ready for use. This is extending the amount of time it will take to get the play area ready for use because the workmen are having to spend a considerable amount of time repairing damage to equipment and the fencing or resetting some of the equipment in concrete. #NeighbourhoodPolicingAwareness To find details of how to contact your local Safer Neighbourhood Team, visit the Neighbourhood Matters website at www.neighbourhoodmatters.co.uk, and search using your postcode or street address. To report crime, please visit www.westmercia.police.uk. In an emergency, always dial 999. Kind regards, PCSO Malcolm Goddard | ||
