Neighbourhood Policing Week

This week just gone was Neighbourhood Policing Week, to promote this we have done a few activities to both be visible in the public and protect the public.

On Thursday 26th June we did a Walk and Talk, this was advertised on here (neighbourhood matters) and on Facebook. A colleague and I walked Birchen Coppice and Silverwoods Way. We gained some information from a member of the public and also saw another bikers driving around giving us some more and important information on them.

As much as we will see ASB which builds “intelligence” a picture of what's going on, it is important we have open avenues of communication with the community. We want to hear what is happening. The Walk and Talk is a great way of talking about your community and passing information when needed. Other ways of contact is Neighbourhood Matters or email - ofpsp.snt@westmercia.police.uk

You may have seen me walking around, it was a very hot day but I was trying to keep a smile, throughout all 20,000 steps completed.

If you missed or couldn't get on the walk and talk but would be interested, message the team telling us which days and times of the week are best. We can then see what we can do.

Also in this week I was involved in a Warrant on a residential address. This was helping out the wider Safer neighbourhood team. We work together closely helping each other out when needed. I have also helped the response teams when needed due to the hot weather causing a rise in incidents being called in.

Another Community Protection Warning (CPW) has been given out, advising someone of their behaviour. Again hopefully this will be enough to stop their negative effect on our community. More CPW’s to come hitting the perpetrators of ASB.

Enjoy the rest of your week now we are past “HUMP DAY” (Wednesday) its down hill now to the weekend. I will be back on the street Monday 7th July.
