🚨 Anti-Social Driving and Vehicle Defects Identified in Oswestry

 

⚠️Community Reports and Identification Checks were carried out on the driver and vehicle, which matched prior reports submitted by residents in Oswestry Rural South. The car had been flagged for repeated disturbances due to the modified exhaust system and poor overall vehicle condition.

 

On patrol, PC Wright observed the vehicle driving with an excessively loud exhaust noise, inconsistent with factory specifications. The sound was notably disruptive and excessive.

 

🔍 Vehicle Inspection Findings

  • The exhaust system had clearly been altered post-manufacture to amplify noise output. This modification was not a factory fit and contributed significantly to the anti-social nature of the vehicle's operation.
  • A physical inspection revealed that both rear tyres had grooves measuring below the legal minimum of 1.6mm. The tyres were severely worn and deemed unsafe for road use.

    👮 Driver Notification and Action Taken The driver was immediately alerted to the condition of the vehicle and the impact of the excessive exhaust noise. Due to the defects identified—including the illegal exhaust modification and dangerously worn rear tyres—the driver was reported for offences.
