Dog attacks on Livestock

Dear Residents

I'm afraid to say that over the last few days, several ewes and a lamb have been killed by a dog attack at a local farm around the Battenhall area in Worcester.

It is important that when walking your dog around farms, especially where there are animals present that you keep your dog on a lead, even if you believe your dog to be well behaved. These attacks cause significant stress and financial harm to the farmers, even dogs chasing sheep can have a devastating effect.

It is a criminal offence for your dog to worry livestock and we will prosecute the owner. Responsible dog ownership is essential in preventing livestock worrying.

This incident happened between the 16th July at 13hrs to 17th July at 09hrs. If anyone has witnessed any dog attacks in that area between those times, please call 101 and quote incident number 00156_I_18072025.
