Local Speed Survey

Dear Residents

Today PC 21727 WEBB was out in Wrockwardine between 1200 and 1300 hours conducting a speed surveys.

The first survey was conducted in the Avenue, 25 vehicles were surveyed, the fastest speed recorded was 22 MPH. The mean average was 18.28 MPH

The second survey took place on Admaston Bank (Station road) eight cars were surveyed the fasted speed recorded was 29 MPH. The mean average was 24.5 MPH. 

The team will look to conduct speed surveys earlier and later in the day in the near future.

The survey is in response to some concerns raised by residents within the area, regarding the perceived speed of some vehicles and in line with the local Policing Charter.

All data is collated and sent to our Roads Safety Team and shared with Parish Councils.

Speed surveys are conducted at various times and days, throughout your local area by the designated Safer Neighbourhood teams in conjunction with Parish Councils
