A New Challenge

The Team is saddened to report that long serving Rural North PCSO Pete Roberts has hung up his cap and body armour for the last time, leaving the Rural North Team and West Mercia Police altogether to start a new challenge and career. We wish Pete all the best in his new chapter in life and we hope our paths will cross again with his new role having the potential to conduct some partner agency working.

The Rural North Team would like to remind and encourage members of the public wanting to report incidents relating to crime, concerns for safety or any other incidents requiring an immediate response or acknowledgement to do so either by reporting it online at Report | West Mercia Police or call 101 in non-emergency situations or 999 if its an emergency.

We’d also like to encourage the public to consider if it is relevant to report it to the police and to consider if there is another agency that should be contacted like the Ambulance Service, Fire Service, Highways Agencies and Councils. Occurrences to consider would include medical issues, highway issues, housing issues (which could include issues with tenancy breaches by problematic neighbours), and even social media issues can and should be reported to the service provider in the first instance.
