PCC encourages workforce to consider sustainable methods of commuting

PCC supports Cycle to Work Day

The public expects a police force that rises to the challenges of the day and there are few more pressing than environmental sustainability.   

 

That’s why the PCC and West Mercia Police have developed a joint strategy to become a Net Zero police force before 2050, which includes supporting and encouraging the workforce to take up greener methods of transport. 

 

Delivering on his commitment to reduce the force's environmental impact, as set out in his Safer Communities Plan, events took place at the force HQ and Redditch Police Station on Thursday 7 August for National Cycle to Work Day, that focused on supporting officers and police staff to commute to work in a more environmentally friendly way.
