Anti-social behaviour Driving

Following reports of ASB driving in LUDLOW Town Centre SNT have issued two Section 59’s

Section 59 refers to a provision in the Police Reform Act 2002 in the UK, which gives Police Officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) powers to deal with the antisocial use of motor vehicles.

Powers Granted

The officer can issue a Section 59 warning, which lasts for 12 months.

If the same vehicle or driver is involved in another antisocial incident during that period, the vehicle can be seized.

The warning applies to both the driver and the vehicle, meaning even if someone else drives it antisocially, it can still be seized.
