During the week, an operation was conducted by the Safer Neighbourhood Team as part of Op Conyay targeting drug crime in our community. During this, Police Officers and PCSOs carried out patrols in both marked and unmarked vehicles, along with foot patrol in hotspot areas to identify drug use and other drug-related crime.
These patrols are designed to:
• Reassure resident and local businesses
• Deter criminal Activity
• Gather valuable intelligence to support ongoing investigations
• Identify perpetrators and act on crimes committed
