Myth: “Domestic abuse is just physical violence.” Fact: Abuse can also be emotional, sexual, financial, or controlling.
Myth: ”Domestic abuse only happens to certain people.” Fact: Abuse can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, culture, or background.
Myth: “Domestic abuse is a private matter between partners.” Facts: Domestic abuse is a crime, and support is available to victims.
