Prolific Worcester shoplifter banned from multiple stores for three years - Correction |

A prolific shoplifter has been banned from multiple stores in Worcester for three years after a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) was granted at court. Byron Corbett-Stanley, 22 of no fixed abode, is currently serving a 12-month prison sentence for his conviction in August for theft from shop offences, a public order offence, two counts of common assault and one of assault by beating. Corbett-Stanley was given the CBO at Worcester Magistrates Court on Friday (10 October) which runs until 10 October 2028 so when he leaves prison he must not: - 1. Enter the following shops – a. Co-op, Ambleside Drive, Worcester b. Sainsburys, Windermere Drive, Worcester c. One Stop, Brickfields Road, Worcester d. Tesco, Mill Wood Drive, Worcester e. Co-op, Barker Street, Worcester f. Tesco Express, Brindley Road, Worcester 2. Refuse to leave a premises when asked by someone who has authority to do so 3. Argue or be obstructive with shop staff/security staff in any retail premises Police Sergeant Sam Callaway, of Warndon Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “We are pleased the court has granted a CBO against Corbett-Stanley whose prolific thieving has impacted shops and businesses in the city and caused alarm and distress to members of the public. “The CBO runs for three years so will be in force upon his release from prison. Anyone who sees him breaching the terms of his CBO should report it to us via 101 or online at Report a crime | West Mercia Police .”
