High visibility hot spot patrols

Officers from the Town Centre Team (TCT) conducted targeted patrols across local hotspot areas on both last night and this evening as part of Operation LIGHTFOOT. During these operations, 12 licensed premises were visited, where officers engaged with members of the public and monitored for any signs of criminal activity or anti-social behaviour.

In one instance, officers stopped a vehicle due to concerns regarding the standard of driving. Fortunately, no offences were identified, and the driver was issued words of advice before being allowed to proceed.

High-visibility foot patrols were also carried out, reinforcing a proactive police presence aimed at deterring crime and offering reassurance to the community
