🌺 Help Us Honour Remembrance Sunday – Pin a Poppy on the Unknown Tommy 🌺
Our first batch of poppies has arrived, ready to be proudly pinned on the Unknown Tommy outside Malinsgate Police Station, Telford. A huge thank you to the pupils and staff at:
• St Lawrence C of E Primary School, Preston on the Weald Moors
• Lawley Village Primary Academy
• Muxton Primary School
Your contributions are deeply appreciated and will help create a powerful tribute.
⛅ Weather Update:
Due to the forecast this weekend, we’ll hold off attaching the poppies for now to protect them from the elements. But rest assured, they’ll be in place in time for Remembrance Sunday.
📍 How You Can Get Involved:
We invite everyone in the community to take part. Whether you have an old, new, or handmade poppy, you can:
• Pin it yourself on the Unknown Tommy (once the weather improves), or
• Drop it off at the front counter of Malinsgate Police Station, Telford TF3 4HW during office hours, and we’ll pin it for you - before Monday 3rd November 2025.
Let’s come together to remember and reflect. Every poppy tells a story, and every gesture matters.
