PCC announces projects awarded funding to help fight scams

Fraud and online scams amount to more than half of all crime in West Mercia, which is why the PCC is funding a number of initiatives in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin to help tackle these types of crimes and support victims.

Delivered in partnership with Shropshire Community Foundation, nine projects have been awarded grants from a total pot of £20k to help support the most vulnerable in our society.

And with Cyber Monday and Black Friday just around the corner, what better time to increase awareness around this type of criminal activity!
