PERSHORE TOWN | SAFER BUSINESS ACTION WEEK

Last week Pershore Town Safer Neighbourhood Team were busy getting stuck in with Safer Business Action Week.

Safer Business Action Week showcases what West Mercia Police does to tackle and prevent business crime.  Running from Monday 10th of November to Sunday 16th November the week aims to raise awareness of the issues affecting businesses such as shoplifting, burglary and anti-social behaviour

Throughout the week numerous businesses in Pershore were visited, engaged with and (those who were not already) got signed up to West Mercia’s Shop Watch Scheme. 

PCSO Ashley & PCSO Rice conducted two community engagement's at ASDA and CO OP.  They worked alongside Wychavon Community Safety Team where numerous bikes were signed up to the National Bike Register and lots of safety freebies were handed out.

Safer Neighbourhood Officers spent time investigating outstanding shop thefts, this included visiting businesses collecting statements and CCTV.  Following this a prolific shoplifter was arrested, charged and sentenced to 20 weeks imprisonment.

Pershore Town SNT will continue to work closely with all local businesses to help keep Pershore a safe place to shop and work.
