New Year, Freezing Temperatures: Oldington, Foley and Sutton Park SNT still out and about |
||
|
New start new year! I hope you all had a nice time, if you celebrated or not. With the new year, comes new local priorities. Please let us know of any issues in your area you feel should be a priority or a focus for us your local neighbourhood team? With the cold weather in place be carful on the roads see below advice. Also never leave your car defrosting, with keys in and unattended!
I have been out and about this new year, I have been out walking in the cold weather meeting people in Britons Park, who all appeared to still be smiling. I have been to, the first of the year, coffee morning at Holy Innocent Church. This is held on the first Saturday of the month. Very friendly people and a nice warm coffee. We got some new sign ups to Neighbourhood Matters and we also gave some helpful advice around personal security, house security and vehicle security. Also this week, amongst other things, I have been helping vulnerable people. I have been doing house visits for people with Domestic Violence Protection Order’s and also helping people suffering with Mental Health issues to get support.
As much as we, at Oldington, Foley and Sutton Park SNT, are here to prevent crime and help after crime has occurred, we are also here to support the neighbourhood. #ProtectTheVulnerable
I will be back on duty to see you all on Thursday 8th January 2026. My great colleagues will be on duty during this time. A few fun facts for today: A bit more on the fun side, January 4th is also National Spaghetti Day. In regards to New Years resolutions, let’s just say Good Luck! and Stay Safe. | ||
