Speed enforcement at Walford

Road safety concerns, in particular speeding, are consistently raised by our local communities.

Today myself and PC 22667 DUGGIN have been out enforcing at Walford and detected 8 motorists going above the 30mph speed limit. A number of motorists were educated and reported for excess speed.

Speeding can have a devastating impact on the safety of road users anytime of the year, increasing the risk of a collision and the severity of the consequences. During these below freezing conditions, it is even more important to check your speed.

If prosecuted for speeding, the minimum penalty is a £100 fine and 3 penalty points.

Enforcing the speed limit is a 24/7 activity for us so don’t risk it.
